Choosing the right preschool is an important decision, and we’re here to make the process simple, transparent, and supportive. At Appletree Preschool, we welcome families from across New Jersey and are committed to partnering with you every step of the way.
Our admissions process is designed to help families learn about our programs, visit our schools, and feel confident in their choice.
Admission Process
Step 1: Explore Our Programs
Appletree Preschool offers thoughtfully designed programs for children from infancy through Pre-K, with summer camp available through 3rd grade. Each program supports age-appropriate development, independence, and confidence through a balance of structure, play, and nurturing care.
We encourage families to review our Programs page to learn more about each age group and what to expect at every stage.
Step 2: Schedule a Tour
The best way to experience Appletree is to visit one of our schools in person. During your tour, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- See our classrooms and learning environments
- Meet our educators and administrators
- Learn about daily routines and curriculum
- Ask questions specific to your child and family
Step 3: Enrollment Process
Once you’ve toured and decided to move forward, our team will guide you through the enrollment process.
- $125 registration fee
- $125 deposit
- (Your child’s spot is secured once payment is received.)
Our administrators are available to support families throughout the process and answer any questions along the way.
Tuition & Financial Support
Tuition varies by program and location. Detailed tuition information is shared during your tour or upon request.
Appletree Preschool accepts New Jersey state childcare subsidies at all of our locations.
Families who qualify are welcome to inquire during the admissions process so we can best support your enrollment.
Placement & Class Structure
Children are placed based on age, developmental readiness, and classroom availability. In some locations, transitional classrooms may be available to support children who are ready for the next step.
Placement decisions are always made thoughtfully, with each child’s individual needs in mind.
Communication & Family Partnership
We believe strong communication is essential to a successful preschool experience. From your first inquiry through enrollment and beyond, our team is committed to keeping families informed, supported, and involved.
Appletree Preschool uses Brightwheel as our primary communication platform, allowing families to easily receive updates, messages, and important information from their child’s school. This helps ensure consistent, timely communication between families and educators.
Families are encouraged to ask questions, share insights, and partner with educators to support each child’s growth and success.
What Is Brightwheel?
Brightwheel is the secure communication and billing platform used by Appletree Preschool.
Once you request to register, families are added to Brightwheel to:
Receive and pay enrollment invoices
Communicate with your child’s school
Brightwheel allows families to manage everything in one place, making the enrollment process simple and convenient.
